Hi, my name is Sheila. I am starting a blog to discuss faith and matters of faith. Some blogs will reflect reflections on life and faith, other posts will focus on my journey through terminal illnesses, first with my twin daughters, and then with my beloved husband.

God has been so loving, kind, and patient with me. He has caught and cared about every tear I have cried, every sleepless night, my broken heart and shattered dreams. While I am now alone, I am never alone, for He is with me.

I hope you can join me on this journey we call life and faith. Life is not easy and all of us will face very difficult times. Life is like the waves of the sea, sometimes we are riding the waves and are filled with happiness, other times the wave has collapsed upon us and we are tossed about like a piece of floatsam. Life may be filled with ups and downs, but our God is constant. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. When all is lost, nothing is lost, for with God there is always hope.

I have buried many I loves, first my twin daughters who were born with terminal heart disease, and then my soul-mate husband who passed after years of a very difficult illness. I was the caregiver in both horrible journeys to heaven’s gate. While I would never want to walk those paths again, for they were harder than words can ever express, I will never regret the years caring for my loved ones, and giving everything I had and beyond. I loved and I am loved and so are you.
